Performance Experience
- Musician and composer for over 40 years, specializing in Renaissance and folk music, as well as modern compositions.
- Play all flutes and recorders, bass viola da gamba, and basic guitar. Teach recorder and flute.
- Music Director for Midsummer Night’s Dream; sang, played recorders, flute, and viola da gamba. July ’24
- Play in the Suncoast Viol Consort lead by Sarah Tippett Poon, Sechelt, BC.
- Sing in many choirs, currently including Suncoast Phoenix Community Choir, the Coast Messiah Choir, and the Coast Musical Theatre production of Pirates of Penzance. Co-producer of the 2024 Messiah Singalong at St John’s. Sechelt BC.
- Recently I sung in MOTET Assumption Project, Pacifica Singers, Gallery Singers, Vivaldi Chamber Choir, & Capilano University Festival Chorus, Vancouver, BC. (More choirs below.)
- Founded and lead four madrigal ensembles including Duck Soup (Seattle), The Ultrasounds (Seattle), The QuasiModals (Vancouver), and the RenFriends Renaissance Consort (Sunshine Coast).
- Perform in concerts, at weddings, funerals, church services, malls, parties, dances, street corners, Fort Nisqually Living History Museum, and even up a tree.
- Performed in folk band Red Currant Jam, playing Celtic dance tunes and jazz standards. Roberts Creek, BC, ’20-22
- Composed and performed score for “Just So and Other Stories,” Seattle Children’s Theatre, ’94.
- Played viola da gamba for English Country Dancers, in folk band “Knives & Forks,” Seattle, early ’90s.
- Taught rounds singing workshops at the Northwest Folklife Festival, ’90-’91
